Howl, Woof, Yippie! Dog-Friendly RV Travel Destinations

There’s nothing quite like traveling with your best friend. Your dog is always by your side on your adventures, and as your pup sticks their head out the passenger window of your RV, you might be thinking of ways to make your vacation more enjoyable for your furry sidekick.

Our amenities make Webster RV Resort a great choice to stay with all members of your family—Rover included. Up to two dogs can accompany guests during their stay at Webster. Pet policies are posted to keep all our guests safe, dogs and humans alike. At Webster, dogs must be walked in the designated area behind our pond. And don’t forget to always clean up after your furry friends!

If your pup needs to stretch their four legs off-property, there are plenty of local parks for you and Rover to explore. Florida is brimming with lush wildlife for curious sniffers and shores for dogs who like to hit the water snout-first. A short day trip to Hernando County’s first dog park, Rotary Centennial Dog Park, offers three separate runs for large, small and service dogs. West Orange Dog Park is another nearby option for spending an afternoon with Rover and is wheelchair accessible to boot.

Why Stay at a 55+ RV Resort?

When choosing stops along a route for an RV vacation, or when reviewing options for a destination or long-term stay, there’s no end to the options! Whittling down the categories can be a month-long endeavor or a quick Google as you approach an area. So what makes you choose one RV Resort over another? And why should you make the decision to stay at a 55+ RV Resort?

One of the biggest reasons is to be surrounded by other travelers, residents, and seasonal residents who are looking for the same thing in a resort that you are. A 55+ RV Resort, in addition to not focusing their amenities around children and families, does focus amenities and activities around active and interested seniors. If you are looking for a social experience where you’ll meet peers who enjoy travel and relaxation, there’s no better place to stay than a 55+ RV Resort!

Webster RV Resort in Webster, Florida, is proud to be a 55+ RV Resort! When staying at Webster, seasoned RVers, dedicated snowbirds, or first-timers will find a community centered around you! Our amenities are all about relaxation and fun for 55+ guests.

The Fishing is Good at Webster RV Resort

Whether you’re looking to get away from it all or meet up with family and friends, Webster RV Resort and the surrounding areas offer plenty to do. One of the most popular pasttimes around here is fishing. Just a few miles away from our resort are multiple waterways, lakes, and parks where you can escape the crowds and catch dinner–or just a little relaxation.

Head north to Lake Panasoffkee, one of the top fishing lakes in Florida! Bass, bluegill, and crappie abound in the flats of vegetation.

Drive south to Richloam Wildlife Management Area to fish, hunt, and hike. The Little Withlacoochee River flows through the area, making it a great location for spotting fauna, birdwatching, with fishing and frogging allowed year round. Check out the Bass Conservation Center at the old Richloam Hatchery. Largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, bream, triploid grass carp, striped bass, and sunshine bass are all farmed here.
